Let us practice our religions, the way they were meant to be practiced – with sobering humility, rigorous self discipline, unyielding courage and most importantly, infinite compassion.

That, is my quote for today. I firmly believe in respecting all faiths, and in freedom and dignity for all human beings.

  1. I agree with you in principle.
    The keyword here is ‘religion’ and what you define as that.
    There are some organisations which operate more like cults. Jehovah’s Witnesses and Scientology for example.
    There are some out there that operate with member fees as a percentage of income. Some that force you out of contact with non-members.
    I believe religion is a beautiful thing – but there are some that don’t deserve to have that title and therefore, don’t deserve to be respected.
